Greetings on this April Monday morning.
PERSONAL NOTE:
I want to thank everyone who assisted in preparation for the Sunday
worship service. Thank you everyone who offered your Faith Promise for the 2015 year of missions giving!!! We went over the $11,000 mark so far! Excellent!!!
LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINK for our 12th apologetics short video. I believe there is much to
learn for these nationally recognized Christian teachers and
philosophers. Today's lesson is "The Resurrection".
TRAINING THE TEACHER: My intent here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are
in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and
Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this
training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to
teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this
training is coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to
their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the
finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute
level training. Our sixth session is one of 12 lessons (one each week).
It is Lesson 7, "Who is Jesus?" from the module: Life is a Journey with Dr. Bill Mounce as teacher. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are
different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you
can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more
than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your pace!
HOPE FOR PARENTS: Click this LINK for the article, The Importance of Working at Family Play.
ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP: Click this LINK for the article, An Exposition of the Gospel of Matthew...Lesson 22...Jesus and the Tradition of the Elders. This series will last for a number of weeks. The host for this series is Dr. Allen Ross.
HERE'S MY QUESTION: How do we know something is God's will? Click on this LINK . Check this out. Do a little research on the subject.
GRADUATE STUDIES: Bibliology and Hermeneutics..."Inerrancy". This is Lesson 8 of 10. Click on this LINK . These are video lessons (they also have an audio version available on
the same page). At the end of Dec. 2014, we started the Graduate Program over from the beginning. If you
missed any lessons previously, get them this time around. This lesson will stretch you some by virtue of the subject.
COUNSELING HELP: The category is Child Abuse. Click this LINK for the article, Reporting Child Abuse. Knowing what this says may be of help to you or someone else.
LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have." Vince Lombardi. Here is a humorous bonus by that great baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra,
to lighten your day. Yogi said : "The other teams could make trouble for us if they win." Really, Yogi!
My desire for you this week is that you use what you have.
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
