Greetings on this August 10th Monday morning. I trust that you will have a wonderful week.

PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank everyone who assisted in preparation for the Sunday worship service. Thank you Sue Warner for the message in song. Are you ready for Back to the Bricks? Our church will have a tent set up out front during this week's car run on Saginaw St. We will not have Wed. night Bible study due to our participation out on the lawn. Pray that we might have a good response to our efforts.

Here is a special note that on August the 23rd we will have The Royaheirs in concert here at FBC. It will take place at 4 pm. and we will receive a love offering for the group. Don't miss the concert! Come out and support these musical programs.

LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINK for our 28th apologetics short video. I believe there is much to learn for these nationally recognized Christian teachers and philosophers. Today's lesson is "Worldview".

TRAINING THE TEACHER: My intent here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this training is  coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute level training. Our session is one of 10 lessons (one each week). This is Lesson 10, "The Finish Line is in Sight" from the module: Bible Survey with Dr. Bert Downs as teacher. Click this LINK  or the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your pace!

LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up." Vince Lombardi. Here is a humorous bonus by that great baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra, to lighten your day: Talking about life on the road, Yogi said this: "I usually take a two-hour nap from 1 to 4." It is amazing how some people's brain works.

My desire for you this week is that you accomplish much for Jesus.
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
