Greetings to each of you on this warm and humid summer day.

PERSONAL NOTE: Yesterday's worship service was loaded with much to think about. I want to especially thank Missionary Bethany Thompson for sharing her ministry in Brazil with us once again. When our missionaries come home and bring us updates, it allows us to gain a better understanding of how we can help and how we can pray. Thanks, Bethany. It was a very good presentation.

I also want to thank all who were involved in the setting up and taking down of communion equipment. We appreciate your work.

REMINDER: Sunday, August 14th is our next in the Summer Concert Series. We will host the singing group, Stronghold. They come to us from the Fowlerville, Mi. area. We look forward to their ministry at 4 pm. Make plans to invite some people to join you for this concert. We will receive a love offering for the musicians.

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In the section of Scriptures known as the Beatitudes, Jesus speaks on a variety of subjects. In Matthew 6 and verse 19, he says, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,..." This passage, though it is a negative, is used in context with the positive response, which is to lay up treasures in Heaven. Jesus' point in the lesson is that our attention should not be upon things that have only temporal value, but our attention should be on things that have eternal value. The Lord is our Master and we need to see our journey here through His eyes. Focus on the harvest. It has eternal ramifications.
