July 25, 2011... Training Materials

Greetings to each of you on this my birthday week!

PERSONAL NOTE: YES... it's true! This week, on the 28th, I will be 63 years old (or young... no, it's old). Inside I don't feel it but outside I can tell. Oh well, life goes on. I already had my birthday party with the family... and little Dallas (Angie's dog) was there to celebrate with me and lick... and chew on me... it was great!

I need to thank some people for help Sunday. Primarily, I need to thank Elise Flickinger and Emily Warner for the great duet they shared with us. Good job girls! This was their debut as a singing team. We are glad that they shared their talent with us. Next, I want to thank New Destiny Quartet for ministering to us in concert Sunday. It was a good concert... we had 62 in attendance and we were able to give them a love offering showing our appreciation. Our next concert is August 14, 2011 and will feature Stronghold Quartet from The Fowlerville area. Make sure you begin planning now to be here for this concert. Invite several guests to join you... make it a great outreach time.

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In First Peter 2: 1 it says, "Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice... ". In context, the passage talks about living a holy, obedient Christian life. Malice is from a Greek word, kakian, which refers to just about any kind of wickedness. The Christian has no business acting out in a wicked way... it is contrary to living a holy life. This is God's word on the subject. We need to obey.
