BOOK RECOMMENDATION: I recommend to you the book, Biblical Faith by Clarence H. Benson, published by Crossway Books. This small book is subtitled,"Doctrines Every Christian Should Know". This book is one in a series of books used by the Evangelical Training Association in their training programs. I believe that you will find it very helpful and not too difficult. YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: II Corinthians, chapter 9 and verses 6-7 teach on the subject of giving financially to the Lord's work. Please note the section, "...whoever sows generously will also reap generously." The will of God is clear and it indicates that God intends for His children to be generous. The application of this verse would cover all types of church ministry outreach, whether it is in evangelistic efforts or in serving the poor... it is the will of God that His people be generous.
