March 29, 2011... Training Materials
Greetings to you all... a day late and a dollar short! I just thought that I would let you know that some other items superseded doing the blog yesterday. PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank everyone who had a part in the worship service on Sunday. I thought that it was a great time of worship and praise. I want to thank the Savior Singers for sharing their music with us. They did a fine job as a group, plus, we were treated to a solo part by Emily Warner... nicely done, Emily. I also want to thank Jan Foltz for the solo that she shared with us... well done, Jan. Please remember to fill out your "Invitation" half-page that was in the bulletin. Let's all do our part to make Easter Sunday a great attendance day! Have you worked on your testimony sheet that we passed out Sunday? I hope that you have... and I hope that you tweak it until it is just right. That sheet is a great tool... after all, it is the best witnessing tool ever! YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In I Corinthians 10: 32 it says, "Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God -". Once again, I remind you that verses must be understood in context. The previous verses had to do with the believer's freedom... but personal freedom has responsibilities. Paul is reminding the believers in Corinth that they must do things that benefit others... whether they are Christians or not. We must be concerned for the welfare of those we come in contact with... that is the expression of love. This command is the will of God for you.
