Greetings on this hazy, and soon to be hot, Monday morning!
PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank Bobby Francis from Word of Life for coming and speaking yesterday, here at FBC. His challenge on discipleship was important to hear. He also met with our youth leaders for some training. I also want to thank Sue Warner for singing for us. Thanks, Sue... fine job.
Please remember to pray and work on our "Fall Outreach Sundays" which was on the yellow insert in the bulletin. Aug. 29... Sep. 26... Oct. 31... and Nov. 21 are the Sundays that we have designated as attendance booster Sundays! Make sure that you are a part of the excitement!
Plan now for Rally Sunday on August 29. There will be lots going on including the 4 pm. concert with "Heaven's Call". You won't want to miss this mixed musical group. A love offering will be received at the concert for the group. Plan now!
Remember me in prayer today as I will be on the panel of "Ask The Pastor". It is on channel 49 locally and channel 10 on cable. The time is 2 pm.

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In Second Timothy 2 and verse 24, Paul speaks to the young minister about the need to be ready and able to teach. The text would seem to indicate that the teaching might take place under situations that were not so pleasant. Although the lesson is specifically designed for ministers... there might be a broad application to Bible teachers in general... be ready and able to teach. This is the will of God.
ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING: Please click on this LINK in order to read and download the article: An Exegetical Commentary of John 12. This training session is going to require you to put your thinking cap on. In spite of the references to Greek words, I think that there is much you can gain from it. Get what you can and don't worry about the rest!
