Greetings to each of you on this somewhat overcast morning in Grand Blanc. I trust that your day goes well.

PERSONAL NOTE: I thought that the service yesterday was very helpful to us as we start this new week. The message spoke to me as I hope that it spoke to you. I am always grateful to all of our people who make the day go right. Thank you, musicians and thank you, Brenda VonLinsowe for your special in song. We appreciate it.

Please remember me in prayer as I officiate at the funeral of Nadine Beckley today. Nadine was a longtime member here at First and she will be missed. Continue to remember the family in your prayers... especially Denver.

REMINDER: Next Sunday is our Church Rally Day. We want you to make sure that you attend... and make a decision to invite a guest or two. This should be a great day together. Right after the Sunday School hour, we will have a great pot-luck lunch together and at 4 pm. we will have HEAVEN'S CALL with us for a concert in the auditorium. We will receive a love offering for the group. Make plans now to attend!

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: If you turn in your Bible to First Peter, chapter five and verse eight, you will observe it say that it is God's will that we be self-controlled and alert. The purpose for the instruction is that Satan prowls around seeking to destroy lives. He is most effective when we are not paying attention. He looks for the openings that we give him. We must be on guard against the wiles of the Devil. This is sound advice!
