June 13, 2016...Training Material

Greetings on this June 13th, Monday morning. I hope that you had a nice week. We are getting closer to VBS! Pray for our team. I want to thank everyone who assisted in making Sunday such a great day! First, congratulations to the graduates. Thank you Elizabeth Stohlman for you piano selection...good job. Thank you James Burkhardt for the Scripture reading...nice job. Thank you for all the teens who were involved in the service, whether you were greeters, ushers or sound technician...you are welcome any time. Thanks choir for your ministry in song. Thank you Sallie and Dale for the Teacher appreciation recognition and the great luncheon...you're the best! Last, I want to thank "REJOICE" for the afternoon concert. The word that comes to mind is WOW. Was that great or what! What a blessing it was to have them here to minister to us. Those of you who were not there have my permission to kick yourself.

TRAINING THE TEACHER: My purpose here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this training is  coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute level training. Our session here is one of 10 lessons (one each week). This is Lesson 7 of 10, "The Holy Spirit." from the module: Understanding Theology with Dr. Bruce Ware as teacher. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your pace.

ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP: Click this LINK  for lesson 20 of a 24 lesson series entitled: Introduction to Islam.  Lesson 20 is: "Death, Resurrection and Deity". The host for this series is Dr. Timothy Tennent. This is a much more extensive study of Islam than our previous essentials' study. GRADUATE STUDIES: This is Session 4 of 10 under Bibliology Hermeneutics. Click on this LINK . This lesson is "Canonization of Scripture (OT)". These are video lessons (they also have an audio version available on the same page). In March 2016, we started the Graduate Program over from the beginning again. These lessons are at an advanced, graduate level of study. If you missed any lessons previously, get them the next time around. You must put your thinking cap on for these studies.
