Greetings on this June Monday morning. Last week was a great week of VBS!!!

PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank everyone who assisted in preparation for the Sunday worship service. Thank you everyone who helped with VBS...we had a great time! Thanks VBS workers, who sang and led us in one of the VBS songs! Thank you Mr. Bud for the special Sunday. It was a good choice.

LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINKfor our 21st apologetics short video. I believe there is much to learn for these nationally recognized Christian teachers and philosophers. Today's lesson is "Christianity and Islam".

TRAINING THE TEACHER: My intent here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this training is  coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute level training. Our session is one of 10 lessons (one each week). It is Lesson 4, "Soul Food of the Poets" from the module: Bible Survey with Dr. Bert Downs as teacher. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your pace!

LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time." Vince Lombardi. Here is a humorous bonus by that great baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra, to lighten your day: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." That is what Yogi said when he was giving directions to a friend.

My desire for you this week is that you keep on keeping on.
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
