Thank you Elizabeth Stohlman for the solo number...good job! Thank you to Sallie Stanley and Brenda Foutch for the hard work on the entire program and the great picnic luncheon. I want to thank REJOICE for the wonderful concert in the afternoon. If you were not there, you missed a great concert. What a blessing it was! Finally, CONGRATULATIONS to all of the graduates!!! We wish you well in your future endeavors.

LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINKfor our 19th apologetics short video. I believe there is much to learn for these nationally recognized Christian teachers and philosophers. Today's lesson is "The Qu'ran".

TRAINING THE TEACHER: My intent here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this training is  coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute level training. Our second session is one of 10 lessons (one each week). It is Lesson 2, "Setting the Compass" from the module: Bible Survey with Dr. Bert Downs as teacher. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your pace!

LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "Football is like life - it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority." Vince Lombardi. Here is a humorous bonus by that great baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra, to lighten your day. "It was hard having a conversation with anyone, there were too many people talking?" This is what Yogi said about a White House dinner he was at.

My desire for you this week is that persevere and respect authority.
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
