October 25, 2010... Training Materials

Greetings to everyone on this warm Fall day.

PERSONAL NOTE: Thank you Savior Singers and Mr. Bud for bringing us the special song that you did Sunday. We always appreciate hearing from our kids. I want to thank all of the workers who made the kids costume party a grand success. We had about 67 children, along with a large number of parents. I believe that everyone enjoyed the event (congratulations to all of the winners). I had the opportunity to gently put a pie in the face of Sam (whose last name will be omitted in order to protect her identity). THANKS WORKERS! A job well done!

Congratulation goes out to all of the ladies who participated in the Thursday evening Love Gift Tea. I trust that the event went well and you accomplished your goals.

  • Please remember to pray for me today as I will be on Ask The Pastor at 2 pm.

  • Next Communion Sunday is Nov. 7
  • A special day on the calendar is my wife's birthday on Nov. 9. I won't tell you the number! Happy early birthday wishes, Jan!
  • Nov. 21 is our Sunday Harvest Dinner... it's also one of our attendance builder Sundays. Let us begin to think who we will bring. Let's shoot for 150 in attendance!

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In Second Thessalonians, chapter 3 and verse 13, the Lord tells us that it is His will that we "... never tire of doing what is right." This passage teaches a very hands-on idea. God's word here is designed to be very practical. We should make it a point to be involved in good deeds. We should find it a joy and not a burden. You can figure out many ways to be doing God's will.
