MAY 11... TRAINING MATERIALS

Greetings to you on this cool Monday morning in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I came back from vacation in Florida last Monday where it was in the 80s with nice humidity... plus my furnace went out over the weekend! Oh well, I hope that this week is better... plus my furnace should be up and running.

PERSONAL NOTE: It was great to be able to celebrate Mother's Day with all of you at FBC. We had a great time of worship and refreshing from the Word of God. I want to thank Bud and the Savior Singers for their song during the service... Great job Bud and kids! Thanks to Cindy for helping me pass out the prints as gifts to the moms. Once again, happy 13th birthday to Seth and "Sam"antha!

Remember that Sunday the 17th we will have the kick-off of our summer concert series at 4PM. with Michigan's own CALVARYMEN QUARTET. Make sure that you plan to be here and bring a guest. This is a great time to share your faith and Church with a friend. I know that the Calvarymen will do a fine job of sharing the Gospel in music!

YOU CAN KNOW GOD'S WILL: Let me draw your attention to I Peter 1:17,where the Apostle Peter, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says that God's will for us is: Live as strangers here. That simply means that we need to understand where our real citizenship is located and live for that place... not being caught up in the desires of this world. This is God's will!

Please note that through the summer and on into the fall we will have four (4) special musical concerts here at First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc. Each will be held at Sunday at 4PM. on the following dates: May 17, July 12, August 23, and September 27. We will be having a variety of musicians from male quartets and trios, to family groups. Each group comes to us on a love offering basis. I hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities to share a witness for Christ by inviting others to join you for these events.
