Greetings
on this August 1st, Monday
morning. I hope that you had a nice week. I want to thank everyone who
assisted in making Sunday a great day. Thank you Bud Myers, for the special number in song. Thank you Dallas Gatlin, for speaking this past Sunday during my absence. I came back from Chicago battered and bruised, but I am back! Thanks for your prayers.
LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINK for our 80th apologetics short video. I believe there is much to
learn from these nationally recognized Christian teachers and
philosophers. Today's lesson is "Could Jesus have sinned?" Listen to this short, concise answer.
TRAINING THE TEACHER: My purpose here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are
in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and
Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this
training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to
teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this
training is coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to
their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the
finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute
level training. Our session here is one of 16 lessons (one each week). This is Lesson 4 of 16, "Positive reasons for believing the Bible is reliable." from the module: Why we trust our Bible, with a variety of teachers. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are
different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you
can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more
than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your
pace.
HOPE FOR PARENTS: Click this LINK for the article, "Love Makes the Difference."
ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP: Click this LINK for lesson 3 of a 14 lesson series entitled: God's Battle Plan for Purity. Lesson 3 is: "Strategy Two: Count the Cost of Failure". The
host for this series is Dr. Gregory Brown. I
believe that you will profit greatly from this study.
HERE'S MY QUESTION: "John 3:13 says no one has ascended to Heaven but Jesus. What about Elijah?" Click on this LINK . Put your thinking cap on. This is an interesting question. Always pay attention to context and complete thoughts!
GRADUATE STUDIES: This is Session 1 of 10 under Trinitarianism. Click on this LINK . This lesson is "introduction and Worldviews". These are video lessons (they also have an audio version available on
the same page). In March 2016, we started the Graduate Program over from the
beginning again. These lessons are at an advanced, graduate level of study. If
you
missed any lessons previously, get them the next time around. You must
put your thinking cap on for these studies. They are sometimes
difficult, yet profitable. See the box for your choice of media...audio,
video, download.
COUNSELING HELP: The category is Relationships. Click this LINK for the article:"Jealousy." Be prepared to offer advice to others
that is biblical.
LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "It's never to late to be what you might have been" George Elliot.
My desire for you this week is for you to get after it!
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
