Greetings
on this July 18th, Monday
morning. I hope that you had a nice week. I want to thank everyone who
assisted in making Sunday such a great day. Thank you Dee Spohn, for the special number in song...very nice. I always enjoy hearing you sing. Thanks Forester Family for the afternoon summer concert. I am really glad that you came and shared. Good ministry!
LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINK for our 78th apologetics short video. I believe there is much to
learn from these nationally recognized Christian teachers and
philosophers. Today's lesson is "More on Polygamy."
TRAINING THE TEACHER: My purpose here is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are
in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and
Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this
training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to
teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this
training is coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to
their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the
finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute
level training. Our session here is one of 16 lessons (one each week). This is Lesson 2 of 16, "Questions Four and Five." from the module: Why we trust our Bible, with a variety of teachers. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are
different levels for your involvement. By registering with them (free), you
can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more
than one lesson each week...go for it! Study at your
pace.
HOPE FOR PARENTS: Click this LINK for the article, "Your smile costs nothing..."
ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP: Click this LINK for lesson 1 of a 14 lesson series entitled: God's Battle Plan for Purity. Lesson 1 is: "Introduction". The
host for this series is Dr. Gregory Brown. I
believe that you will profit greatly from this study.
HERE'S MY QUESTION: "What is the nature of Christ's sonship?" Click on this LINK . Put your thinking cap on.
GRADUATE STUDIES: This is Session 9 of 10 under Bibliology Hermeneutics. Click on this LINK . This lesson is "History of Interpretation". These are video lessons (they also have an audio version available on
the same page). In March 2016, we started the Graduate Program over from the
beginning again. These lessons are at an advanced, graduate level of study. If
you
missed any lessons previously, get them the next time around. You must
put your thinking cap on for these studies. They are sometimes
difficult, yet profitable. See the box for your choice of media...audio,
video, download.
COUNSELING HELP: The category is Pornography. Click this LINK for the article:"How to stop pornography addiction." This is a difficult subject to be aware of...even though it may not apply to you.
LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "Don't let the past steal your present." Cherralea Morgan. Here is a humorous bonus by that great (and now deceased) baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra,
to lighten your day. This
is one of my all time favorite quotes from Yogi: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." Very sound advice. I hope you have enjoyed all of these Yogi-isms. They are just plain fun.
My desire for you this week is for you to focus on the present and the future, not the past!
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
