Greetings on this mid-March Monday morning.
PERSONAL NOTE:
I want to thank everyone who assisted in preparation for the Sunday
worship service. Thank you Dee and Choir for the special number in song...good
job! Once again, there were a lot of sick people Sunday...pray for those who are ill.
LEADERSHIP APOLOGETICS: Click this LINKfor our seventh apologetics short video. I believe there is much to
learn for these nationally recognized Christian teachers and
philosophers. Today's lesson is "Relativism?"
TRAINING THE TEACHER: This new section replaces the Theology Article position in the blog. I am calling this: TRAINING THE TEACHER.
My intent is to provide long-term biblical training for those who are
in church work but may not feel adequately trained in the Bible and
Christianity teaching in general. I want all of you to take this
training (whether you teach or not) because it will better equip you to
teach or live as a disciple of Christ. All of the material for this
training is coming to you by Biblical Training.org. I am linking you to
their site for each of the lessons. You will be exposed to some of the
finest Bible teachers in the country. You will receive Bible Institute
level training. Our second session is one of 12 lessons (one each week).
It is Lesson 2, Change from the module: Life is a Journey with Dr. Bill Mounce as teacher. Click this LINK for the video lesson. Visit their website and see that there are
different levels of involvement. By registering with them (free), you
can have access to outlines, transcripts, etc. If you choose to do more
than one lesson each week...go for it! Enjoy.
HOPE FOR PARENTS: Click this LINK for the article, Trust or Worry?
ADVANCED DISCIPLESHIP: Click this LINK for the article, An Exposition of the Gospel of Matthew...Lesson 17...The Lord of the Sabbath. This series will last for a number of weeks. The host for this series is Dr. Allen Ross.
HERE'S MY QUESTION: How could God allow so many to die on the Titanic? Click on this LINK.
GRADUATE STUDIES: Bibliology and Hermeneutics...Transmission of Scripture...Lesson 3 of 10. Click on this LINK . These are video lessons (they also have an audio version available on
the same page). At the end of Dec. 2014, we started the Graduate Program over again from the beginning. If you
missed any lessons previously, get them this time around..
COUNSELING HELP: This is from a series of articles on Anxiety: Panic Disorder Click this LINK for it.
LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "After a storm comes a calm." Matthew Henry. Here is a humorous bonus by that great baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra, to lighten your day: "A writer asked me: What makes a good manager? I answered: Good players!".
My desire for you this week is that you be ready for the storm, but enjoy the calm.
In His Majesty's service, Pastor Darrell.
