December 20, 2011... Training Materials

Greetings on this cool Tuesday morning.

PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank the Flickinger family for lighting our fourth Advent Candle. Well done! I also want to thank Dee Wilson for singing "Breath of Heaven" to all of us... nicely done. Thanks also to Nikki Brand for sharing the Missions Minute with us. Hey, it was good to see Kattie Sutton home from her duty with the Marines. I also want to thank Bud Myers for giving us the Christmas program that was shared Sunday night and Sue Warner and Susan Johnson for overseeing much of the the operations along with all of the teachers and leaders who helped. Special thanks to all participants, young and old, who had a part in the program. Thanks Dee, Linda and choir for your leadership and thanks Mary Hocken and associates, for setting up all of the treats afterward. It was a really great evening... and "God bless us, everyone" (tiny Tim).

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In Romans 6 and verse 12 it says, "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." (NIV). This verse is pretty straight forward. As Christians, we need to understand that we are to be instruments of righteousness, not instruments of unrighteousness. Sin does not have to have control over us. We can choose to say no.
