Greetings to each of you on this grand Monday morning!
PERSONAL NOTE: I need to thank the following people: Thank you Savior Singers for the song Sunday... great job (and Mr. Bud too)! Thank you choir for the great song you shared... fine choice. Last but not least, Thanks goes out to all of the VBS workers for all of your hard work. We had about 12 kids making salvation decisions for the week. WOW!!!... isn't that great! That makes all of the hard work worth it. Special thanks goes out to Bamboo Bill and associates for the great week.
REMINDER: Start now inviting people to come to our first summer concert on July 24, 2011 at 4 pm. It will feature the New Destiny Quartet. We will have a great time of blessing... make sure that you take advantage of this outreach method.

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In Ephesians 6: 2 it says, "Honor your father...". This principle of scripture goes way back into the history of the people of God. When the Jews came out of Egyptian captivity, the fathers were given instructions concerning the training of children. Respect for parents was an important subject because it laid the groundwork for how the kids would treat other adults... would it be respect or rebellion. Children need to be taught to respect their elders... and leaders. They will not learn it left to their own devices. This is God's will.

Greetings to all of you on this nice summer day in Grand Blanc!
PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank all of the people who spent a great deal of time "preparing" the Church for VBS! A lot of effort went in to getting ready for Pandamania! I also want to thank the Savior Singers and King's Kids for the music in the Sunday Service. Good job, Kids! Once again, a mighty Happy Father's Day to all of our Dads!!!
SPECIAL NOTE: Remember in your prayers VBS all this week. It should be a great time! Special thanks to Bill Swift and his entire Crew!!! Go for it!

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In Second Timothy 1 and verse 13 it says, "What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching..." When I was reading this passage I was reminded of how much corrupt and false teaching there is on the radio and TV. Each one of us as Christians, is responsible to check the scriptures to see if what we are listening to is biblical. On of the real problems in the Christian community is a general lack of biblical discernment. Just because you like the speaker doesn't make his words true! When in doubt, check it out! The Word of God has the sound teaching we need. Choose your teachers wisely. This is God's will for you.

Greetings on this sunny June morning.
PERSONAL NOTE: First, I want to thank everyone who was involved in Sunday's graduation and promotion activities. A mighty thanks goes out to Sallie Stanley who pulled the promotion program together! THANKS, SALLIE... excellent work! Another THANKS goes out to those who put together the Sunday graduate luncheon... very yummy! I also want to thank the teens who were involved in the service. Elizabeth Warner, great job on the clarinet... Sam Mcpherson and Alexis Flenniken who were ushers... and Andrew Francis who worked in the sound booth. A special shout out to the graduates in the service Sunday... Victoria Francis, Megan Flickinger, and Amber Eaton... congratulation on a job well done!
GET READY FOR BIBLE SCHOOL on June 20-24, 2011... the theme is PANDAMANIA... from 9 till noon. We are looking forward to a great week.
I have begun a new Bible Study series on Wednesday nights called "Studies from the Psalms". I hope that you will come and be blessed by the Word of God.

Jesus was the Light of the world... so we should also reflect that light into the generation in which we live. It's all about your personal witness. Hold out the gift of eternal life for all to receive. This is the will of God for you.

Thanks to all who planned and helped distribute the flowers to the long-time members. Thanks to the choir for the number in song... nice. I also want to thank those who prepared the communion setting...THANKS!
