February 14, 2011... Training Materials

Greetings to each of you on this Valentine's Day!

PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank everyone who assisted in yesterday's worship service. Your participation makes it all possible. Thanks, Bud Myers for your special number. We also appreciate the people behind the scenes that make it all possible. A special thanks to the King's Kids for the song they brought (even though they were short handed).

The choir will be instituting a Choral Call to Worship on a regular basis. They started yesterday. Thanks!

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In First Corinthians, chapter 10 and verse 31 it says: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." Please compare Col. 3:17 and verse 23 with this passage. Of course, the context of chapter 10 has to do with mundane things like eating and drinking... although it is set (see verse 29) in a religious, pagan context. Paul's teaching is clearly that our entire life is designed to glorify God... even the seemingly mundane details. This is the will of God for each of us. Let's do what we do for the glory of God... or maybe not do it at all. Now that may require some thinking!
