Dec. 28... Training Materials
It is my hope that you had a wonderful Christmas at your house. I know for me personally, it was a very nice Christmas. Jan, Angela, me and my Mother-in-law, Bea had a wonderful few days together. We had great holiday foods and lots of fun. We also had lots of gifts... that's the way Jan likes it!
PERSONAL NOTE: I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who helped in making the Christmas holidays as nice as they were. We had very nice decorations and lots of special treats. Let me thank all of the participants in the candle lighting each Sunday in Dec... you did a great job. Extra work always goes in to the music so "Thanks" to all of our musicians for their hard work (and the guys in the sound room).
I want to thank Angela Foltz and Janice Foltz for all of their help on the Christmas eve. service. I thought that it was a great time. It would not happen without the help of many hands.
Thank you Brenda von Linsowe for your solo special this past Sunday. Very nice... acappella.
I won't have the opportunity before the next blog to say this soooo... "HAPPY NEW YEAR, MMX!"
I trust that this new year will be better than this last year... on a number of levels!

PERSONAL NOTE: Right off the bat i would like to thank everyone who was involved in making yesterday's worship service the success that it was... the music was great and the message was right on the seasonal mark. Thanks to George and Linda Hittle for the lighting of the third Advent candle.

Finally I need to congratulate and thank Mr. Bud and his associates for all of the work that went into the children's Christmas program Sunday evening. I pronounce it a success!!! Thank you everyone! We had a great time... and everyone enjoyed the snacks that followed.

In other words, if you suffer at the hands of others it should be for righteous reasons not sinful reasons. Please remember... this is God's will. It will take effort on our part, but righteousness always does.

BONUS BOOK RECOMMENDATION: This month I want to recommend to you the book: Quick Scripture Reference For Counseling by John G. Kruis. It is published by Baker Book House. I know that you will find it helpful when you have or are asked questions about various topics. I personally have it with me and use it on "Ask The Pastor" as a quick reference. I use it on almost every program. It will give you confidence in your answers. The book is designed to give you biblical answers for various subjects and problems... a very useful tool.
BONUS THEOLOGY ARTICLE: Please click on this LINK in order to read and download this weeks article: Can Satan Hear Our Thoughts?
YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In First Peter chapter 4 and verse 13 the writer states that we should rejoice when we share in Christ's sufferings. This is the will of God. Whenever you or I suffer for the cause of Christ (if you are a faithful witness you will), we must understand that it is actually beneficial to us and our faith. Remember that Jesus suffered at the hands of the Pharisees for sharing the truth about God. When you have lemons make lemonade (DF).
