Nov. 30... Training Materials

Greetings to all of you on this partly sunny day. Welcome to the last day of November, 2009.

PERSONAL NOTE: Our Sunday service yesterday was very uplifting, don't you think. Our congregational singing seemed to be up a notch! I want to take this space and thank "The McPherson Clan" for lighting our first Advent candle of 2009. This will continue for three more Sundays with the fifth candle being lit at the Christmas eve. service by Pastor and Jan. What a great time of focus. I also want to thank Sue Warner for bringing us the special music of the day. Nice job Sue!

I just wanted to let everyone know that , yes, I survived my very busy week! It just happened things were scheduled the way they were and it was great, busy, and now over...amen! Two weddings, two rehearsals, Thanksgiving, home tree set up, Wed. speaking, Sun. School sub., Sun. morn. message, TV appearance on "Ask the Pastor", a couple of hospital visits and a partridge in a pear tree... OK, I'm not asking for sympathy... just thought that you might want to know.

YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD: In First Peter chapter 4 and verse 12, the Word of God says that we should not be surprised at any fiery ordeal that tests you. Tests and trials will come... remember they did for Christ. If we go through trials we should be grateful to Christ that we suffer for his name. How we handle trials is the key.

LEADERSHIP QUOTE: Aristotle said: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
