June 15... Training Materials

Greetings to you all on this sunny Monday morning in Grand Blanc, MI. Today is the first day of VBS here at First Baptist. It looks like it is going to be a busy week!

PERSONAL NOTE: I once again take the opportunity to congratulate all of the graduates who came up front yesterday and received a gift from the Church in recognition of their achievement. I thank the Youth Praise Team for your help in playing the music for the service... nice job! Thanks also to David Briggs (welcome and announcements), Bill Swift (VBS announcements) and Curtis Burkhardt (recognition of the graduates).

Yesterday was promotion Sunday and we watched as the children were promoted and moved to their new classes. We appreciate all of the work that our teachers and helpers do. Special thanks to everyone who helped prepare the promotion - graduate luncheon. It was great!

Yesterday I finished the Sunday morning series from the Book of Galatians. The response to the entire series was good. I trust that it met our spiritual needs. Our next series will be from the Book of Colossians. I believe that it will be an excellent series. Colossians focuses on the deity of Christ.
You will not want to miss this very valuable study.

YOU CAN KNOW GOD'S WILL: The command from the Lord given in I Peter 2: 12 is that we "Live good Lives". This is God's will for all believers. Go out of your way to live an overtly good life. Other lives will be blessed because of your faithfulness.

Let me encourage you to remember all of our VBS workers in your prayers this week. Pray that God will really bless our efforts with all of the children who will come.
