April 20...Weekly Training Materials

Welcome to this blog on a rainy Michigan day. Remember, April showers bring May flowers. I hope that you find this page valuable. We at First Baptist had a great Sunday service. The Lord clearly spoke to us through His Word... for that I am grateful.

PERSONAL NOTE: I want to thank all of our Women's Ministry group and the Mary Martha ladies who sponsored and participated in the Carriage Town Ministries' shower this past Saturday. To call it a great success is an understatement! Ladies, you did some wonderful work by bringing piles and piles of new clothes for the less fortunate who are under three years old. I am sure that Carriage Town Ministries was blown away by what they received. The Lord is glad for your care and I am proud of you. Praise The Lord! WOW!!!

I want to thank Cindy Mass for sharing a song with us Sunday morning. THANKS!

I would also let you know that the next two blogs (April 27 and May 4) will be posted at different times than usual. The April 27 blog will be up earlier and the May 4 blog will be up one day late. I appreciate you indulgence on this, but I will be out of the office on both of those Mondays.

MONTHLY AUDIO: Please see the April 6 blog for the link in order to listen to it or download it.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING FEATURED ARTICLE: Download "The Gift Of Rebuke" at this LINK. Remember, the key to exercising any gift is to do so exercising love in the process.

BONUS CHRISTIAN LIVING ARTICLE: The article,"Where Can I Learn How To Bring Up My Children In The Discipline And Instruction Of The Lord?" is available to read or downloaded at this LINK.

YOU CAN KNOW GOD'S WILL: According to I Peter 1: 13, God's will for you today is to: Set your hope on the grace to be given. It will be fulfilled at the Coming of Christ. Know this: there is more to come! Please check it out. In Greek, this is clearly an imperative (command).

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL: It can be found at this LINK.

LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "Earn all that you can, save all that you can save, and give all that you can." John Wesley

CLOSING QUOTE: "If you keep on walking the road to Hell, one day you are going to walk right in!" unknown

I pray that you will be all that you can be in the service of the Lord.

In Christ, Pastor Darrell
